A Warrenton woman was charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree stemming from incidents that took place between August and September 2024.

On Nov. 19, 2024, Warrenton High School Resource Officer Chase responded to an emergency hotline call, and during his meeting with it was reported that Ila Allen, 35, of Warrenton, and her boyfriend had potentially been using illicit substances around five juvenile victims who also lived in the home, according to the probable cause statement filed by Detective James Plackemeier.

On Nov. 25, 2024, Allen and four of the victims were subjected to hair and urine tests for drugs and Allen tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, THC, benzoylecgonine and cocaine, according to the probable cause statement.

Two of the victims also tested positive for illicit substances.

On Dec. 12, 2024, all five of the victims were interviewed and three of them said they had located possible drugs in Allen’s bedroom and had witnessed her “snort” a “white” and “grainy” substance, according to the probable cause statement. Three of the victims also said they had witnessed possible drug use from Allen in August and September of 2024.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest and she is to be held without bond.
