Shannon Free, 55, of Truesdale, was charged with felony harassment on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in response to a complaint that was filed by the victim.
The victim, who used to be married to Free, reported that she had moved into a new residence at the beginning of May when Free started monitoring the residence, according to the probable cause statement.
In the weeks that followed, Free would continue to harass the victim, repeatedly knocking on her door, and at one point placing flowers and leaving a lit cigarette butt on the porch. The cigarette then caught the siding of the house on fire.
According to the probable cause statement, Free also repeatedly called the victim, including 66 times between May 1-10 and 21 times on May 5.
On May 12, the victim told Free to cease any contact with her unless it was related to their children, the house or the cars.
Free continued to attempt to contact the victim and as of Sept. 4 a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
