Carlos Ramirez-Antonio, 27, of Wright City, was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, felonies, and stealing, a misdemeanor, in connection to an April 26 incident.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy Garrett Burns, Ramirez-Antonio broke into the victim’s house while he was at home through a bathroom window.
Once inside, Ramirez-Antonio threatened the victim with a screwdriver and attempted to steal his cell phone, according to the probable cause statement.
The victim told officers he offered Ramirez-Antonio $200 not to steal the phone and said he accepted the offer then left. The victim recorded the encounter on his cell phone, according to the probable cause report.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he is to be held without bond.
