Mr. William Earl Peatross, of Jonesburg, passed away on November 15, at his home in the company of the love of his life, his wife Paula. He was born on June 2, 1951, to Wilfred Peatross and Geneva Barnett (nee: Harlan). He was one of five children and had reached the age of 73 years.
Bill was united in marriage to Paula Ringo on April 20, 1970, in Elizabethtown, IL. Together they shared 54 extraordinary years and were blessed with four children. Bill worked as maintenance superintendent at a copper smelting foundry in Warrenton. Bill was a dedicated family man. He loved his family above all else. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with them and would always crack a perfectly timed joke with his hilarious sense of humor. Bill had an unmatched knowledge of many things. Even before the internet, he knew things that were not learned from a book. He was not intimidated by hard work. He would face challenges head on and would go above and beyond the expectations to make life better for his wife and children. He had an incredible work ethic and the only thing that surpassed that, was his love of family. Bill enjoyed motorcycles and passed that love on to his sons and countless others, along with his need for speed. He loved adventure and loved to travel. He also wanted to help others by passing on his knowledge. He created a beautiful childhood for his grandchildren. There could not have been a more amazing PawPaw. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to so many.
Bill Peatross was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Geneva; he was also preceded in death by his siblings. Those who will remain grateful for having shared in the life and the wonderful memories made through knowing Bill are his wife, Paula Peatross; his children, Jean Pape and husband Dave, W. Christopher Peatross and wife Angie, Fay Peatross, and Wesley Peatross and wife Lagila; 14 grandchildren, Alexandria Hindman (Taylor), Vicke Huslage (Stephen), Hanna Pape (Alex), Jesse Peatross, Jenna Burton (Jordan), Walker Peatross (Jorden), Emmy Pape-Stewart (Adam), Gabby Peatross, Wyatt Peatross, Will Peatross, Madeleine Peatross; Taylor Baalman (Nick), Hunter Baalman (Jenna), Leah Brooks (Aaron); 7 great grandchildren; one sister Patsy Liszewski; many nieces and nephews; countless other chosen family members.
