Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a physical domestic assault in progress on the afternoon of March 28.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Deputy Ceira Brotherton, Alexander Huette, 22, of Warrenton, had assaulted his girlfriend and broken her phone in half when officers arrived.
According to the probable cause statement, Huette said the two had been arguing and she hid his keys and clothing while he was showering. He responded by moving her clothing into a different room and telling her she needed to leave.
The argument escalated and Huette said “She started screaming at my face so I said get up off me, don’t scream in my face. So I swung at her and I did hit her.”
The victim was visibly upset when officers arrived and said Huette had also destroyed her phone during the argument and kicked a door closed on her ankle, according to the probable cause statement.
Officers reported injuries on her face and ankle consistent with what she reported and noted they appeared to have been sustained recently.
Huette was charged with one count of third-degree domestic assault, a felony, and one count of second-degree property damage, a misdemeanor.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and he is to be held without bond.
