On the evening of July 31, officers responded to reports of a break-in at a trailer that was for sale. Upon arriving officers witnessed Alanna Sexton, 33, of Warrenton and Joseph Shuck, 36, also of Warrenton, exit the trailer.
Sexton and Shuck admitted they did not have permission to enter the trailer and the property owner confirmed this, according to the probable cause statement.
After they were apprehended, a search of the building was conducted where police found a clear plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance was found hidden in an HVAC panel near where Sexton was seen inside the trailer, according to the crash report.
The report also said the substance was “consistent with methamphetamine.”
A bag of syringes was also found in an air duct with a matching syringe located on Shuck’s person.
Officers also described a silver container holding what appeared to be a full pill capsule in the bathroom.
Sexton was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 10. Shuck was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and second degree burglary, a felony, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
