The Truesdale Board of Aldermen approved spending $4,500 to replace two sidewalks in the city during its May 24 meeting.
Eckenfels Flatwork & Excavation LLC received the contract.
The “two sidewalks are just demolished,” Public Works Supervisor Mark Bennett said. “People are turning on from Highway M and it tore up our ADA ramps on both of them.”
Bennett said Corey Eckenfels, owner of Eckenfels Flatwork & Excavation, said the project will be completed this year.
Aldermen also approved Eckenfels to replace a six-by-eight concrete pad at the city’s safe room. That cost is $1,500.
Aldermen approved both projects by a 4-0 vote.
