The schedule for Stage 4 construction has been accelerated and will begin in early November, at the Routes A/B and Interstate 70 interchange (mile marker 188.6), near Pendleton in Warren County.
Weather permitting, as early as November 3, contractor crews will begin tie-in work focused on the north side of the interchange at Route A and the Northwest Service Road. Changeable message boards will be utilized to notify motorists of updated traffic impacts and changes.

As progress continues on the project, the interchange will be an active work zone and require various segments to close for roadway construction.
“There are currently a significant number of active work zones throughout the I-70 corridor. We would like to remind drivers to please slow down, obey all signs and eliminate distractions while driving. The safety of the traveling public and our workers is our top priority,” stated Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Jeff Niemeyer.
