Mr. Roger Key of Wright City, passed away Friday, September 8. He was born April 26, 1951, in Cotton Plant, AK, to the late Leon and Eula (nee: Summers) Key. Roger had reached the age of 72 years.

Roger had a love for adventures. He enjoyed going to the wineries and traveling to the beach with his lovely wife Mary. He relished going on camping trips to spend extra special time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. Roger loved music so much that he brought together the band named " Roger Key and The Goldrush Band". He taught himself how to play the rhythm guitar, and eventually the lead guitar. Roger was in the Carpenters Union for 50-plus years. After he retired, he opened his own company named " Roger's Roof Repair". He was a 3rd-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2341.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Eula Key. Those who will remain grateful for having shared in Roger's life are his wife Mary of 40 years, two daughters; Jackie (Joe) Jaspering of Wright City and Jennifer (Chad) Roetemeyer of Warrenton, seven grandchildren; Andrew, Ashley, Abbey, Hope, Alex, Ella, and Olivia, and one great-grandson Triston; one brother Jim(Rita) Key or Wright City and several nieces and nephews and special close cousins.

The family will be hosting A Celebration Of Roger's Life on Thursday, September 14, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. A Celebration Of Life Mass will be held Friday, September 15, at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton. Roger has made a special request, all who attend his Celebration Of Life please wear tropical attire. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Roger to The American Cancer Society or Masses at Holy Rosary Catholic Church c/o Martin Funeral Home.
