Richard Stanley Trauth, 95, Truxton, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Surrey Place in Chesterfield surrounded by family.

Richard was born on Oct. 28, 1924, in St. Louis, to Walter and Alice Trauth (nee Knarr).

Richard proudly served his country in the 10th Mountain Division of the United States Army during WWII. On April 1, 1950, Richard married Norma Coquelin, at Home Heights Presbyterian Church, in St. John, Mo. Richard worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and after 25+ years retired. He was a member of the Jonesburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. He was the family's "Mr. Fix It". He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Trauth (nee Coquelin), of Truxton; son, Stephen (Heidi) Trauth, of Hollister; three daughters, Susan (Martin) Merrick, of Shrewsbury, Ronda (Joseph) Novak. of Lake St. Louis, and Renee (Timothy) Cody, of Springfield; sister, Shirley Rathert, of Wildwood; 16 grandchildren; 21great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Trauth, mother, Alice Trauth; brother, Walter Trauth, Jr., and sister, Eleanor Karl.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10, also at the funeral home, at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Jonesburg City Cemetery, Jonesburg.

The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
