Innsbrook’s new Village Hall was substantially complete as of June 19, according to Village Chairman Cynthia Bowers. She said herself and the other trustees had done a walkthrough of the building and developed a punch list of items for contractor Hankins Construction to complete before final payments.
The board of trustees awarded a bid to Hankins Construction for roughly $860,000 at their Aug. 27, 2024 meeting.
Bowers said while there were some items that still needed to be completed, they were going to work through the punch list in the next couple weeks and hope to open in July.
“It will take about two weeks for all the punch list items to be completed. We don’t have a close date yet, but we anticipate that probably will be sometime in July,” said Bowers. “That’s what we have so far with the village hall project update.”
The village had also previously purchased used furniture from the city of Des Peres to use in the new building, a cost-savings measure which Bowers said cost less than $100.
She said the village was still working on calculating the total cost of the project, with ancillary costs like designs, change orders and the purchase of the land. That figure would be provided as soon as it was available.
“We’re working on getting that finalized, we do not have the total cost yet, but we are working diligently on that and trying to keep that cost as minimal as possible,” said Bowers.
