Mrs. Myria Jene Newton, 68, Truesdale, passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. She was born on January 15, 1952 in Bragg City, MO., to Ray and Flossie (nee: Davidson) Mitchell.
Myria was married to Gregory Newton and to this union, two children were born, daughter, Gwenna, and son, Chuck. She and her husband were the owners of MJ's Liquor and G & M Motors for many years. She was a member of the Warrenton Community Church in Warrenton. Myria loved animals and gardening with her daughter. She was a kind loving person who loved spending her time with her family and friends.
Myria was preceded in death by her husband, Greg and her parents, Ray and Flossie. She is survived by her daughter, Gwenna Veal; her son, Chuck Esslinger; five grandchildren, Christina Noles and husband Christian, Maximus Bass, Nick Dorr, Jesse Esslinger and Dakota Esslinger; three great-grandchildren, Levi, Branson, and Titus; two siblings, Elbert Mitchell and wife Pam and Glenda Ridel and husband Roger; best friend; Freida Starks; close friends, Becky, Doris, Clairce, Bob, and Jan; her beloved pets; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Warrenton Community Church, 33355 N. State Hwy 47, Warrenton, Mo. 63383, noon -1 p.m.
Funeral Service will start at 1 p.m., also at the church.
There will be a luncheon immediately following at the Warren County Extension Office, 107 W. Walton St. Warrenton, Mo. 63383.
