Members of the New Melle VFW Post 5651, Warrenton Elks Lodge 2662 and St. Louis Skylights banded together to provide relief supplies to the hurricane victims of North Carolina. Efforts were led by Huey and Bobbie Rodeheaver. In roughly two weeks, citizens of Warren, Montgomery and St. Charles counties came together to donate cleaning supplies, work attire, toiletries, clothing, food and water. The group was able to fill four enclosed trailers and a 38 foot gooseneck trailer with supplies. The items were donated to St. Peters Lutheran Church in Conover, N.C., Ashure Ministry in Newton N.C. and the McLeod Center in Marion N.C. where care packages are being made to distribute to the victims.
