MoDOT: seal coat project scheduled to begin on Missouri Route 94 in Montgomery and Warren counties

Posted

A seal coat project is scheduled to begin on two disconnected sections of Missouri Route 94 in Montgomery and Warren counties, from Route 19 near McKittrick in Montgomery County to the Warren and St. Charles county line, weather permitting. The length of the improvement is 29.3 miles.

The initial phase of the project will include guardrail work, which is scheduled to begin as early as June 2.

Weather permitting, seal coating operations are tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-June. At this time, the public will experience temporary access restrictions to the Katy Trail at various locations during the course of the work. As the project progresses it will be necessary to close access to the Katy Trail for up to 30 minutes while work is completed at each location.

The route will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.

The $1 million contract was awarded last year to NB West Contracting of Pacific. All work is scheduled to be completed by late September.
