A Marthasville man, 77, received minor injuries in a two-car accident in sourthern Warren County at 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 13, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles were traveling south on Highway 47 north of Concord Hill Road. The second driver, a Columbia man, 32, was driving behind the Marthasville man when he struck the rear of his pickup truck.
The truck traveled off the right side of the road. The Columbia man's vehicle caught fire, according to the patrol.
The Marthasville man was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington via ambulance. The Columbia man did not report any injuries, according to the patrol. He was wearing a seat belt.
The Marthasville man's truck was built in 1955 and is exempt from seat belt requirements.
