Glenda L. Bower passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 75. Glenda was born August 12, 1945, in Thayer, MO to Mitchell and Bessie Barnett nee Springfield.
Glenda loved being outdoors, enjoyed going fishing and gardening. Glenda loved her family and loved cooking especially for her family and loved seeing everyone during the holidays. During the holiday's Glenda always made sure to make pumpkin squares for her family because they were a favorite of everybody's. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Cunningham of Truesdale, MO; two sons, James Henson of Foley, MO, Billy Wheeler of Winfield, MO; brother, Willie Barnett of Warrenton, MO; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bower, son, Arnold Maupin, brother, Raymond Barnett, sister, Mary Bates, sister, Velma Welch, sister, Dorothy Underwood.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Hwy 47, Warrenton, MO 63383.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
Interment will be held at Zion Cemetery, Truxton MO.
