Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest
Students from St. Ignatius Catholic School were big winners in this year’s Fire Prevention Week poster contest. The theme for 2025 was “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” In addition to participating in the poster contest, students had assemblies with Marthasville firefighters or visited the fire house where they participated in several drills, teaching them valuable fire safety and lifesaving information. Fire Prevention Week was held Oct. 5-11. Pictured, front row, from left are Hadlie Neeley, third place; Henry Reel, second place; Madison Couch, first place; and Jaclyn Dement, honorable mention, all from first and second grade. Back row: Glenda Eichmeyer, art teacher; Morgan Gratza, MFPD School Resource and Medical Officer; Allie Neeley, second place; Allie Meyer, first place; Cayton Johnson, second place; Dane Hecktor, third place; Alice Korman, honorable mention; Claire Hecktor, third place; and Chief Sean Johnson.
