Jeremy Pickard, 40, and Catherine Gillespie, 36, both of Catawissa, were charged with three counts each of stealing $750 or more in Warren County stemming from an incident on April 28.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warren County Sheriff’s Department Detective Jeff Doerr, the pair pulled into the back of a business in Truesdale in the early morning of April 28 and stole rims and tires off of several vehicles in the lot.
In total the pair removed nine tires and rims from vehicles on the lot totaling over $11,000 in damages according to the probable cause statement.
On May 12, Pickard and Gillespie were identified as suspects and Gillespie admitted in an interview the truck used to steal the items belonged to her and she was in the truck when Pickard entered the lot and stole the items.
Pickard fled from law enforcement on May 12, according to the probable cause statement and was caught after trying to sell the tires and rims to a car dealership in Wentzville.
A warrant was issued for Pickard’s arrest and he is to be held on a $25,000 cash bond. As of the morning of May 14 no warrant had been issued for Gillespie.
