Mrs. Carol Lynn Thomas (nee: Shelley) of Warrenton, passed away on Monday, June 12, at the age of 56. She was born on December 9, 1966, in Orlando FL, to Ronald Shelley and Nancy Landis.
Carol was a selfless woman. She would help anyone and do so with a happy heart. She loved being a Mom. She was a Girl Scout Mom for 13 years and a leader for six. Carol was united in marriage to Bobby Thomas on February 16, 2008, in Steelville. They spent 15 wonderful years together. Carol enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved working in her garden with her flowers and she loved to cook and try new recipes. Carol was a supporter of local businesses in the Warren County community. She loved animals especially her dogs Wyott and Doc. Carol was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to many.
Carol Thomas was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Landis and her brother, Mark Watkins. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Thomas; two children, Kaitlyn Shelley and Erin Thomas; her father, Ronald Shelley; three siblings, Kirk Watkins and wife Carol, Debra Diaz and Daniel Shelley; other relatives and many close family friends.
The family will host a Celebration of Life for Carol on Friday, June 23, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. They will then honor her with service on Friday, June 23, beginning at 12 P.M. The family is requesting memorial donations be given in honor of Carol to ASPCA c/o Martin Funeral Home.
