Agape is excited to announce the start of its annual bell ringing season tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 29. Volunteers are needed to fill bell ringing shifts through Dec. 24, with all funds raised directly supporting families in the Warren County area.
The red kettle campaign will take place at four convenient locations: Walmart, Schnucks and Walgreens in Warrenton as well as the Fast Lane Gas Station and McDonalds in Wright City. Funds collected during the campaign stay local, providing vital support to families in need throughout the holiday season and beyond.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to give back in a meaningful way,” said Michelle Bernth, executive director at Agape. “Every hour volunteered as a bell ringer helps us reach more families and ensures that every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting our neighbors in Warren County.”
Volunteering as a bell ringer is easy and impactful. Individuals, families and groups are encouraged to sign up for a shift by visiting Agape’s website at www.agapemo.org. Bell ringing is not only a festive way to spend the holiday season but also a powerful way to create real change in the community.
“Business, churches, community groups and individuals can all make a difference by signing up to ring the bell,” said Bernth. “This is a great opportunity to bring your kids to volunteer or have your business challenge another business in the community.”
Agape’s mission, fighting hunger and preventing homelessness, has guided the organization’s work since its founding in 1996. Each year, Agape relies on the dedication and generosity of community volunteers to keep programs like this alive. By signing up to ring the bell, volunteers become part of a larger movement to uplift and support families during the holidays.
