The Wright City football team walked away with a major 45-0 win over Veritas. After a dominant win, the Wildcats are now 4-2 in the season and are on a three-game winning streak.
This was also the first time the Wright City defense has recorded a shutout this season and it is Head Coach Tyler Rickard’s first shutout as their coach.
In the first quarter, Duan McRoberts had four touchdowns, including a 78-yard run off of Wright City’s first play of the game. This is the first time McRoberts has recorded four touchdowns in just one quarter.
Starting the second quarter, Xavier Stufflebean had a 31-yard touchdown run and recorded his first touchdown of the season.
Lukas Lee also had his first touchdown of the season later in the third quarter off a 9-yard rush.
Kaleb McCory had six extra points and made one field goal late in the fourth quarter to end the game 45-0. More on the story in the Oct. 10 edition.
