Wright City R-II School Board Treasurer Mary Groeper was awarded the Carter D. Ward Excellence in Advocacy Award by the Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) on March 11.
This statewide honor recognizes board members who demonstrate outstanding leadership in advocating for public education. Nominees are selected based on a documented history of achievement in advocacy for Missouri’s public school students, both locally and beyond.
Groeper has served on the Wright City R-II School Board for 30 years and has been a member of the MSBA Board of Directors for 15 years. She currently serves on the MSBA Executive Committee and the Future Builder Scholarship Committee.
Additionally, she joined the Board of Directors for EducationPlus this year. Groeper is also the president of the Wright City Kiwanis Club and the Wright City Park Board.
