Bailey Love, a senior at Wright City High School, was selected to receive a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the Philanthropic Educational Organization Sisterhood. She was recommended by PEO Chapter MS of Warrenton.
The PEO STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional women in their final year of high school to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada in the next academic year. The competitive STAR Scholarship is for women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.
Love is an active member and current president of the Wright City High School FFA, a National Honor Society member, four year student council representative, band member and four-year, three sport athlete. She has contributed to her community through a variety of community service organizations and projects including volunteering with the special olympics, Wright City Community clean up, Wright City Cemetery clean up, the East Central Livestock Show and Meals of Hope. This fall, Love will attend Missouri State University in Springfield where she plans to pursue a degree in agriculture education.
