Abby McNeill, Foristell, recently was selected to participate in the 2015 Dairy Scholars Program administered by the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri.The Dairy Scholars Program, which took place Jan. 11-16, is funded by an endowment from Ted Jacoby of T.C. Jacoby & Company. In addition to scholarships, the Dairy Scholars Program provided students with opportunities to gain insight into the dairy business through company tours and networking with industry professionals.“The Dairy Scholars Program opened my eyes to how vast the dairy industry really is as well as how many career opportunities are available,” McNeill said. “I am very grateful for the learning experience and opportunities to network with industry professionals, especially the experts at T.C. Jacoby & Company.”McNeill, a junior at MU, is majoring in food science and nutrition and minoring in agricultural economics. She is a 2012 graduate of Wright City High School and is the daughter of Robert and Sharon McNeill. At MU, McNeill serves as president of the Food Science Association and as a CAFNR student ambassador. She also is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and the Dairy Products Evaluation Team.MU is the largest and oldest public university west of the Mississippi River and is the flagship university for the state of Missouri.Abby McNeill
