A Warrenton woman who previously pleaded guilty and was put on probation for striking her husband with an SUV is facing a new charge of third-degree domestic assault.
Michelle E. Castleberry, 23, was arrested at her home in Warrenton Dec. 15, after an argument with her husband became physical, according to Warrenton police.
The domestic assault charge is a Class E felony. Castleberry posted a $10,000 surety bond the day she was arrested, and has an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 10 in the Warren County Circuit Court.
Castleberry’s husband, Brandon Castleberry, told police that Michelle Castleberry came home during her lunch break from work and they got into an argument. The two pushed each other, before the suspect allegedly punched her husband in the eye and bit him on the back of his leg.
Police reportedly observed swelling under his eye and a visible bite mark with slight penetration on the back of his right thigh, just above the knee.
In July, Michelle Castleberry pleaded guilty to first-degree domestic assault resulting from an incident in October 2016, in which she struck her husband with an SUV in the parking lot of Waffle House in Warrenton. That incident also was the result of an argument.
She was sentenced to seven years in prison, but that sentence was suspended on the condition that she completes five years of state-supervised probation.
In a report following the Dec. 15 arrest, police noted that the Castleberrys live together and have two children.
