The Wright City boys and girls cross country teams ran in their first race at the Van-Far Invite on Sept. 9.
Four runners medaled and the boys team placed for the first time in a few years with third place overall.
Ada Ferrell took home second place and Lindsay Pettus placed eighth in the girls race.
Matthew Johnston and Cade Hornberger placed fourth and fifth. Jame Guinn finished 19th, Marshall Matz was 33rd and Dennis Novel was 38th. Jacob Reash finished shortly after Novel in 42nd place.
In addition, the Wright City middle school boys team placed fourth overall, another big accomplishment for the Wildcats.
