Updated 4:30 p.m. March 1 with updated AccuWeather forecast.The National Weather Service in St. Louis has declared a winter storm watch from Saturday evening through Sunday evening.Heavy snow with average accumulations of 4-7 inches is possible in the St. Louis region, the weather service said. Sleet and freezing rain are possible in the southeast parts of Missouri. Travel could become very difficult.The winter storm watch is currently predicted to last from 6 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday. A winter storm watch is issued when there is potential for severe winter weather in the area, but the weather forecast is not yet a certainty. Those in the watch area, which includes all of central and east-central Missouri, should begin preparing for a storm by stocking up on supplies, and adjust travel plans as necessary, the National Weather Service announced. Avoid traveling during the winter storm.Forecasting service AccuWeather predicts snow will arrive in Warrenton overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Snowfall totals in the local area will most likely be in the 3-6 inch range, but there is a chance of receiving slightly more or slightly less, according to the AccuWeather forecast as of 4:30 p.m. Friday.Winter Weather Advisory
