A 4 percent rate increase for sewer and water services is being considered by the Warrenton Board of Aldermen.City officials discussed the proposed rate increases during the regular board of aldermen meeting Tuesday, June 6.Residential customers would see an average increase of 95 cents per month for sewer service and 85 cents per month for water, Finance Manager Gabrielle Currie said.Commercial customers would see an average increase of $2.54 per month for sewer service and $3.28 for water, she said.The rate increases would be effective Aug. 1, 2017, pending the board’s approval.
