A Warrenton man has been charged with felony third-degree domestic assault in connection with an incident Oct. 31.
Around 10:30 p.m. that day, police were dispatched to a location in Warrenton in response to a report of a domestic incident. A woman told police she had been involved in an argument with Harold Soto, which escalated until Soto struck the woman in the head “with an unknown object,” according to a probable cause statement, leaving a half-inch laceration.
Warrenton police made contact with Soto at his residence in the 500 block of East Oak Street. He allegedly told them he was involved in an argument with the woman, and that she pushed him. He also said that “he retaliated and pushed” the woman, according to the statement, “and her head possibly struck the air conditioning unit located in the bedroom.”
Soto, born in 1997, did not sustain any injuries in the altercation, according to the statement. He was arrested and transported to the Warren County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
