The Warren County Health Department and Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a training exercise at Wright City High School Thursday, Feb. 25.This training will test setup of a Point of Dispensing (POD) and distribution of emergency medications in the event of a bioterrorism attack.Participants in the training include students from Wright City High School, health occupation students from Wright City and Warrenton high schools, and UMSL College of Nursing. Wright City High School staff members, along with community and CERT volunteers, will fill various staff positions for the POD. Local first responders participating are the Wright City Police Department and Warren County Ambulance District. Emergency planners from adjacent counties and members from the State Emergency Management Agency will serve as evaluators and observers for the event.Results of the training will be submitted to Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in compliance with Warren County’s public health emergency preparedness contract.Emergency Management Agency
