The Warrenton boys and girls track team each placed fourth at the Gateway Athletic Conference North Division Meet Friday.
The Warriors had three individual champions — Grace Bostic in the 300-meter hurdles (53.62 seconds), Nick Mertens in the 110-meter hurdles (17.76) and Kolby Meine in the triple jump (39-6.5).
In the team standings, the Warrenton girls had 69.5 points and nearly placed ahead of St. Charles which was third with 71 points. The boys team had 53 points. Winfield was third with 92 points.
St. Charles West won both the boys and girls crowns.
Both Warrenton squads had a number of top-three finishes.
For the girls, second-place medals were recorded by Bostic in the 100 hurdles, the 4x100 relay team consisting of Dana Pruitt, Veronika Besser, Bailey Schneider and Ghini Dehart, Besser in the 400, and Kassidy Haller in the discus.
Receiving third-place medals were Madelyn Marschel in the 800, Besser in the 200, and Pruitt in the javelin and pole vault.
For the boys, second-place medals were received from Meine in the javelin, Joseph Evans in the high jump and Colton Brosenne in the triple jump.
Also placing third were Jacob Parker in the long jump, Zach Bristol in the 200, and the 4x200 relay team consisting of Meine, Brosenne, Bristol and Evans.
