When it comes to football, Kadin Stroer is a name that resonates strongly within Warren County.
The Warrenton linebacker and team captain ended his senior season leading his team to a district championship and a Class 4 state semifinals game.
He led the Warriors with 140 tackles, broke the school record for career tackles (423) and earned an all-state nod.
Now, Stroer is taking his football career to the next level. On Feb. 14, he signed his official letter of intent with Concordia University Chicago.
“It just felt the most like home. The religious affiliation and football team made me really want to go there,” Stroer said.
Stroer’s love for football began in the third grade, and his passion for the game has only grown stronger over the years. Playing at the collegiate level has always been a dream of his.
“I’ve always wanted to take it to the next level and play as long as I can,” Stroer said.
His journey toward achieving that dream began in his junior year, when he started creating highlight reels to showcase his talents. Once those videos were out, Stroer’s name began to circulate among college recruiters.
His offers were endless, ranging from Knox College, William Penn University, Greenville University, Central Methodist University, Missouri Baptist University and more.
Having achieved his goal of becoming a college football player, Stroer’s aspirations now go beyond the gridiron.
“My main goal is to become an All-American and really empower and inspire my community,” Stroer said. “I’ll be the first in my family to get a degree and go to dental school.”
Stroer welcomes the new experience and is excited to meet new people, and of course, play his favorite sport – football.
