The owners of a Truesdale business are seeking the public’s help with solving two recent stealing cases.Al and Bev Holden said their store, Glass Garden, has fallen victim twice in the past two months. The most recent stealing occurred sometime around last Thursday, Feb. 25. The Holdens said numerous stained-glass items, such as garden stakes and stepping stones, were stolen from their display gardens located in front of their property. The first incident occurred in late January.Glass Gardens is located at 935 Market St.“This is our livelihood,” Bev Holden said. “You take my stuff, you are taking food off my table.“This time they were out to get everything.”The value of the stolen merchandise was estimated at $800.The Holdens believe the suspects may be new to the area and likely committed the crimes in the middle of the night. They said other property owners also have had items stolen from their yards. The couple opened Glass Garden approximately 10 years ago. Until now, they never had any trouble with crimes at their business.A security camera has now been installed overlooking the garden area.“We are trying to beautify Truesdale,” Bev said. “We are all stepping up and you have these other people. The last few days all I wanted to do was cry. We don’t know what to think.”The Holdens are offering a $500 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction.Anyone with information should call the Truesdale Police Department at 636-456-3166 or Glass Garden at 636-456-0717.
