R-II continues progress in performance areas

The Wright City R-II School District continues to make gains in its performance, as indicated by the latest ratings released by the state on Wednesday. R-II tied its highest score ever, receiving a 96.4 percent. This is the fourth consecutive year Wright City has scored 96 percent or above.

Putting the accomplishment in perspective, of the 29 school districts that border Interstate 70 across the state, only six have scored a 90 percent or higher the past five years.

The MSIP or Missouri Standard Improvement Program, is comprised of five grading areas.

R-II scored perfectly in two categories. Wright City was awarded all 30 available points in the area of college and career readiness and also received all 30 possible points for graduation rate.

In the area of attendance, R-II earned 7.5 of the 10 available points.
For its academic achievement, combining the core and subgroups, Wright City received a 96.4 percent, earning 67.5 out of the possible 70 points.
Across all areas, R-II totaled 135 of the possible 140 points.

The state average for all schools in Missouri was 89.6 percent, putting Wright City significantly above the mark.

See the Nov. 23 edition of The Record for a more in-depth look at R-II’s performance rating and plan of action moving forward.
