Melna A. Bolm, 93, Truesdale, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011. She was born Dec. 27,1918, in Truesdale, the daughter of Edward H. Landwehr and wife Amelia C., nee Bolm. On June 5, 1941 was united in marriage to George L. Bolm at College United Methodist Church.  They established their home on his farm south of Truesdale. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.  During World War II, while George served his country in the United States Army, she worked for a time at the Rationing Board. Mrs. Bolm was educated in the Truesdale Public School, Warrenton High School and Central Wesleyan College.  She taught school for several years and was an active member of College United Methodist Church, having taught Sunday School Classes for many years, and was a member of the United Methodist Women Organization. She was an active member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association, having held District offices and a term on the State Board. In 1989 she was honored by being chosen Missouri Auxiliary member of the year at the national convention held in Little Rock, Ark.  She was a charter member of the Truesdale-Elkhorn Extension Homemakers club and was a diligent worker in obtaining funds for the New University Extension Building. She served as Treasurer for the Extension Building Team. For over 40 years, she served at the election polls and was honored by Secretary of State Roy Blunt for many years of service.  She served as President of the Warrenton Memorial Society.  She was  a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau since its inception in Warren County and was an active member of the Warren County Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years George L. Bolm; and her parents Edward H. Landwehr and wife Amelia C., nee Bolm; one sister, Lucile Schulze; and four cousins. She is survived by her cousins, Bonnie Vahle, Warrenton; Donald Cuno, Gary Cuno and wife Linda, all of Montgomery City; Charles Meine, Warrenton; and Phyllis Oates and husband Jeff, Brooksville, Fla.; other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 17, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Burial followed at Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to College United Methodist Church, or the Warren County Historical Society are preferred. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Delores "Dorie" Gillette 1941-2011 Delores "Dorie" Gillette, 70, Warrenton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Wentzville, the daughter of Elmer Amptman and wife Gladys, nee Jaspering. On Dec. 14, 2006, she was united in marriage to Milton Gillette in Tombstone, Ariz. They celebrated five years of marriage and were members of the Quail Ridge Horseshoe Club in Wentzville. She loved to pitch horseshoes with her husband Milton. Mrs. Gillette was a former Deli clerk at IGA in Warrenton and was also a veteran, having served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Amptman; one son, Joe Greco; and one daughter, Gina Greco. Survivors include her husband, Milton Gillette of Warrenton; one step-son, Rick Gillette and wife Beverly, Warrenton; her mother, Gladys Hintz, Warrenton; one sister, Sharon Steffe, Fenton; two half-sisters, Lisa Easterwood, Troy, Tenn.; Helen Colter, Maplewood; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton, with burial following at Warrenton City Cemetery. William L. Mikus -1955 — 2011- William L. Mikus, 56, Wentzville, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2011. He was born March 9, 1955, in St. Charles, the son of William Mikus and Jeannie Waltermann. Mr. Mikus worked in retail. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Waltermann, and his mother, Jeannie Waltermann.  He is survived by his father, William Mikus and wife Mary, Wright City; four brothers, Gary Mikus, St. Peters; Donald Waltermann, Kansas City, Kan.; Gordon Waltermann, Kansas City, Kan.; and brother, Larry Mikus, Wright City; three sisters, Yvonne Swenink, Rockford, Ill.; Vicky McNalley, Knoxville, Tenn.; and Carol McMahan, Grubville. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 17, at Wright City Cemetery with burial following. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
