Man charged with break-in, causing $1,300 in damage

A Warren County man has been charged with illegally entering a home and doing more than $1,300 in property damage earlier this year.Kevin R. Arens, 25, is charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree property damage, both of which are felony charges. Authorities allege that he broke into a home on Pendleton Lost Creek Road July 1.The Warren County Sheriff’s Department was called to the home the morning of July 1. According to a report from the incident, the female resident told a deputy that Arens removed a screen from one of the windows at 3 a.m. and entered the home. He allegedly damaged a television, door, digital camera, record player, iPhone and drum. The cost of the damage was estimated at $1,380.While inside, Arens allegedly also threatened a male inside the residence. He then left after an argument with the female resident and then returned to force his way inside again at 5 a.m., the woman told authorities.While speaking with a sheriff’s deputy, Arens allegedly admitted to entering the home without permission and damaging the items inside.A warrant has been issued for Arens’ arrest. It includes a $27,500 bond.Arrest
