Wright City police took a man into custody after finding a girl with a bleeding head wound outside his residence.Tyson V. Wesley, 39, Wright City, was arrested Sept. 2 and charged with third-degree domestic assault, felony drug possession, and misdemeanor marijuana and paraphernalia possession.Wright City officers came to Wesley’s home in the 200 block of Bilbo Lane around 3:30 p.m. in response to a domestic assault, according to police.Upon arrival, an officer encountered a 12-year-old-girl leaning against the outside of the house and crying. Police observed a bleeding wound on her head and bruising on her neck, the report states. Police said the girl had blood on her sweater, with more blood on the side of the house. The girl alleged that Wesley had shoved her against the wall by grabbing her neck and pushing. He then reportedly left the residence. After being allowed into the house, an officer saw a patch of dented drywall, and was told by the girl that was where her head struck the wall after Wesley pushed her.Eventually Wesley returned to the home and spoke with police. Officers allege that Wesley admitted to an altercation with the girl. According to police, “Wesley stated his movements during the altercation may have caused (the girl) to be pushed into the wall.”The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment and received seven staples for her head wound, police said. While at the home, an officer saw a box of paraphernalia containing alleged marijuana residue. Police later returned with a search warrant and located marijuana and heart-shaped tablets in Wesley’s bedroom. A field test identified the tablets as ecstasy, an arrest report states.Wesley was taken to Warren County Jail and held until appearing before a judge on Sept. 5. He was since released on a surety bond. His next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25 in Warren County Circuit Court.Wright City police said Wesley previously was convicted of multiple violent felony charges in 2002.
