Mr. Kenneth Allen Schweiger Sr. of Warrenton passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. He was born on February 16, 1952, in Oak Park, IL, to the late Walter and Mary (nee: Neely) Schweiger. Ken had reached the age of 70 years.

Ken was united in marriage to Debbie Eckland on March 26, 1983, in Littleton, CO. They spent 39 wonderful years together. To this union, four children were born, Dawn, Kenny, Christy and Matthew. Ken worked as a professional truck driver for many years. He was a family man and was devoted to caring for each of them. He was known for his jokes - telling them, as well as playing jokes on his family and friends. He loved classic cars, and he loved animals. He was very fond of the family dogs and cats they had throughout the years. Ken was a devoted husband and father, a loving grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Ken Schweiger Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary; one son, Matthew Schweiger; and one grandson, Baby Junior. Those who are grateful for having shared in Ken's life are his beloved wife, Debbie; step-dad, Ted Gatz; his children, Dawn Montiel (Eduardo), Kenny Schweiger (Kristin) and Christy Schweiger (Jose); 9 grandchildren, Eduardo Jr., (Annakaren), Michael (Angie), Julian (Jackie), James, Anthony, Amanda, Rosalia (Jordan), Angel and Alex; 5 great-grandchildren, Ben, Amelia, Anaya, Liam and Luca; 4 siblings, Walter Schweiger Jr. (Susan), Ron Schweiger (Diane), Karen Lunsford (Dave) and Laura Vigil (Wil); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

We will celebrate the life of Kenneth Allen Schweiger Sr. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, with a visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Steven Kohler officiating.
