A murder trial that was set for this month has once again been delayed.Ashley N. Hunter, of Foristell, is accused of murdering her husband in January 2015. A four-day trial had been scheduled to begin June 11 in Warren County Circuit Court. The trial was postponed May 30 at the request of Hunter’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, according to court records.Rosenblum asked for the trial to be rescheduled because he had miscalculated the time necessary to make a case at trial. The defense had originally requested a full week for a trial, before reducing that request to four days.During a conference call between Rosenblum, Warren County Prosecutor Kelly King and Presiding Judge Wes Dalton, Rosenblum reportedly requested an amended trial length of seven to eight days.Although the court had three days available to extend the trial past its original end date of June 14, witnesses for both the defense and prosecution would have availability issues, records state.Dalton therefore granted the motion to move the trial to a new date. The rescheduled trial date had not been determined as of press time.Hunter remains in jail on a $1 million, cash-only bond.Ashley Hunter
