Mr. Gilbert John Mumma of Warrenton passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was born on June 5, 1946, in St. Louis to the late Gilbert and Selma (nee: Schad) Mumma. Gilbert had reached the age of 75 years.
Gilbert served our country in the United States Navy and worked as a diesel mechanic during that time. After his service, he continued working as a diesel mechanic for another 33 years. He was united in marriage to Sharon Martin on March 7, 1970, in Carmel, CA. They spent 52 wonderful years together. Gilbert enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on projects around his home. He was a family man and enjoyed time spent with his wife and five children. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing and reading. Gilbert was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend, and he will be remembered as such.
Gilbert Mumma was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Selma, and his sister, Bernice Perl. Those who remain grateful for having shared in Gilbert's life are his loving wife, Sharon; five children, Russell Mumma and wife Marisa, Jennifer Said and husband Sam, Joanna Mumma, Mark Mumma, Marianne Christie and husband Greg; three grandchildren, Samuel, Savannah, and Lennon; one brother, James Mumma and wife Debbie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
