The first ever Pioneer Day, held Saturday, April 8, at the Warrenton branch of Scenic Regional Library saw a blacksmith, storytellers, farmers, trappers and quilters educating library visitors about life during western expansion.

The event also featured live music from local bluegrass band Blueberry Jam.

“We had a great turnout,” said library staff member Laura McBride in an email. “We tried to provide a variety of presentations for an enjoyable learning experience, as well as good music and food.”
