Filing for the April municipal election began Tuesday with no surprises as incumbents were largely the only candidates to announce their intentions and no races have emerged. The filing deadline is Jan. 18, 2011. The election will be held April 5, 2011. Incumbent Warrenton Aldermen Phil Tallo (Ward 1), Beth Kendall (Ward 2) and John Clark (Ward 3) are each seeking another term. Wright City Ward 1 Alderman Tom Black and Ward 2 Alderman James Toothman are seeking re-election for two-year terms. In Truesdale, Mayor Murray Bruer filed to run for a second two-year term, while longtime Alderman Donald McGee is seeking to be re-elected. No one else has filed for a second alderman vacancy. In Innsbrook, incumbents Jeff Thomsen, Jerry Rust and Peggy Morris have filed for the three trustee seats. The term for all three positions is two years. Meanwhile, no one has yet to file for three vacancies in Marthasville. The offices of mayor and aldermen seats in Wards 1 and 2 are up for grabs. All three positions have two-year terms. Three candidates — Teresa Scott, Beth Banze and Lisa Wilmes — have filed so far for three seats on the Warren County R-III School Board. Scott and Banze are both incumbents. The term length is three years In the Wright City R-II School District, Joseph Butterfield was the lone candidate to file for one of three positions. Each seat is for three years. Listed below is an update on the filing status for other governmental entities in the county. Warrenton Fire District Board of Directors — no has filed for one six-year term. Warren County Ambulance District Board of Directors — no one has filed for separate three-year terms in District 1 and District 4. Marthasville Community Ambulance District Board of Directors — no one has filed for separate three-year terms in District 1 and District 4.
