Wright City 2024 graduate Landon Visico has a passion for filmmaking. Through high school, Visico involved himself with video, journalism and multimedia work that has helped prepare him for college. Wright City also helped Visico realize that he wanted to become a cinematographer.
Where are your plans after graduation?
“I plan on attending the University of Oregon to study film. I’m hoping to seek opportunities and get into the film industry as a cinematographer.”
When did you first start to become interested in film?
“My multimedia teacher Ms. [Amanda] Bair introduced the idea of video to me when I got into photography, so I started getting into screenwriting and all things film. I just started to fall in love with it and Wright City really helped me pursue my dreams.”
What things did you do at Wright City to prepare you to study film in college?
“I did a lot of sports-related work. I started covering sports for the journalism class and made highlight reels. I started to get more into interview style work and commercial work as well. For Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), I created a speculative advertisement and Ms. Bair helped me with that too.”
What is your dream job?
“My dream job is to be a cinematographer. I’m hoping to help film a feature film in the future and a big box office film is the dream for me.”
