Grade: Sophomore
School: Liberty Christian Academy
If you could go any place in the world, where would you go: Italy
What’s your hot take: “I like school and college is worth it. The whole thing now is college isn’t worth it. Also, Steph Curry’s top five of all time.”
Favorite music genre/artist: “I like rock music and rap music. For rock, my favorite would probably be Nirvana and everyone calls me Kurt Cobian because of my hair.”
Dogs or cats: Dogs
Who do you look up to: Jesus
What interests you about drama?
“I like to act and I’m good at acting. I like the teacher, the kids in the class. The play we’re doing seems pretty fun, so it’s all wins.”
With this being your first year in drama, did you just recently discover your talent?
“No, I’ve always been good at acting. I mess around and act with my friends and I can act like other people. It’s always fun to do that with my friends and I think it’ll work well with drama.”
What play are you guys performing?
“It’s parents don’t understand their kids.”
Do you know what role you’re playing yet?
“Not yet, we’re kind of just feeling it out and feeling out the script right now.”
What have you learned since joining drama?
“Improvisation. It’s harder to do than anything and having to improvise on the spot. We’ve been doing a lot of games to learn how to improvise better. That’s the biggest thing is improvising on stage if I forget a line.”
What other interests/hobbies do you have?
“I like to play video games. Reading the Bible is always fun to do and that’s about it. I like sports and anything active, hanging out with my friends.”
Do you have a favorite school subject?
“Science. I like how things happen and why. I like to learn about the world and how it works, why it works the way it does, how it was created. I also like to learn about science because it can be able to prove why science proves God and doesn’t disprove.”
Was there a unit in science that really interested you?
“I really like thermodynamics, anything dynamics but thermodynamics was the big one for me this year that we did. We just finished the lesson and I got 101 out of 100 on that test, so that’s probably my favorite unit of them all because it’s the most complicated.”
What have learned through being involved in so many activities?
“If you don’t manage your time, it’s not going to go well. Last year, I didn’t manage my time as well and my grades kind of went down. This year, I’ve been doing better in school because I managed my time a lot better. Also, [I learned] to just do everything. I try to do as much as I can because eventually once I leave high school, it’s not going to be there anymore. So, I have to enjoy the time I have before I have to do adult stuff.”
Do you know what you want to do for college yet?
“I want to go on scholarship hopefully but I’m just seeing what’s going to happen.”
Have you thought about taking the science route or drama route in college?
“I’m thinking science for sure. It’d either be that or math because those are my two best and I’m probably going to go forensic science.”
