Update Oct. 3:A warrant for County Commissioner Hubie Kluesner has been withdrawn at the order of Warren County Associate Circuit Judge Richard Scheibe. The warrant was issued Oct. 2 after Kluesner failed to appear at a court hearing for a traffic violation the day prior.Online court records indicate Scheibe had the warrant withdrawn Wednesday, Oct. 3, and a new hearing date scheduled for Kluesner on Nov. 13.Original story:Hubert J. Kluesner, who represents Warren County’s southern district on the Warren County Commission, is the subject of an arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic violation. The warrant was issued Tuesday, Oct. 2, according to online court records. Kluesner had been due to appear in court the day prior, Oct. 1, for a hearing related to a traffic ticket issued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.Kluesner said he was never notified of the court date after several changes and delays.“I would not have failed to appear if I had known I had a court date,” Kluesner said. The highway patrol issued Kluesner a ticket in May for failing to yield to a vehicle at an intersection, according to court records.Kluesner said the ticket was related to a vehicle accident that he was involved in. He said he tried to pay a fine for the ticket in July, but was told by the Warren County Court Clerk’s Office that because he was involved in an accident, he had to appear in court.Court records indicate an initial hearing for the traffic violation was delayed while Warren County prosecutors sought the appointment of a special prosecutor from outside the county to handle the case.An Aug. 6 hearing date was set for Kluesner, but that too was changed after the court appointed Montgomery County Prosecutor Nathan Carroz to handle the case in late July.Kluesner’s hearing was moved to Oct. 1, but the commissioner said he received no communication after the special prosecutor was appointed, and was not told of the Oct. 1 court date.If Kluesner is detained under the warrant, he would be required to pay a $100 cash bond.Warren County Courthouse
