Wright City senior Nick Moore collected another postseason accolade after being named to the all-state first team as an infielder.
Moore was one of three local athletes to receive all-state recognition. Wright City catcher Bryce Williams and Warrenton’s Kannon Hibbs also received all-state honors.
Moore was the lone local athlete to be receive first team honors. Moore was named to the Class 4 first team as an infielder. Moore was one of five infielders in Class 4 to be named to the first team. Moore finished the season with a .522 batting average as Wright City’s third baseman. He scored 33 runs and had 19 RBIs. Moore also wreaked havoc on the basepaths. He recorded 45 stolen bases in 47 attamps, a 96% success rate.
Williams was one of three catchers named to the Class 4 second team as a catcher. The junior finished the season with a .438 batting average and 13 RBIs. He also drew 16 walks and reached base at a .591 clip.
Warrenton’s Kannon Hibbs received honorable mention in Class 5 as an infielder. The senior hit .505 at the plate with three home runs and 40 RBIs. He also had 10 doubles and one triple. Hibbs finished second among all Warrenton players with 20 stolen bases.
