The Wright City Area Chamber of Commerce is offering scholarships to students in the Wright City R-II school district.
Anyone who attends the school district is eligible to apply.
One $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing community college or university education.
An additional $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a trade school.
According to the scholarship application: “The Wright City Area Chamber of Commerce is a community-oriented organization. Its members care about the educational welfare of the students in the Wright City area. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce offers this scholarship to seniors to aid in the students continuing higher education. We place strong emphasis on involvement in the Wright City community and feel possible candidates for this scholarship should have experience in serving with civic and community organizations/projects. The candidates chosen for this scholarship will have the funds paid directly to the higher learning institution of their choice within one year of being awarded the scholarship. If these funds are not distributed within one year of being awarded the scholarship, the recipient will forfeit the scholarship.”
The application must be submitted to the Chamber of Commerce no later than April 26.
