Marshall Mayes, 19, of Kansas City was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and furnishing pornography to a minor in Warren County. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
According to the probable cause statement, Mayes began speaking with a minor under the age of 15 in Warren County in February of this year and entered into a romantic relationship with her in March.
The victim said Mayes came to Warren County to meet up for intercourse on May 25, and during that interaction the probable cause statement alleges he also told the victim they would get married and purchase a house together once she was of age.
The statement then claims through this interaction he had asked for a reward that was “sexual in nature.”
The victim also reported that she and Mayes had exchanged multiple nude photographs and videos and in conversations on May 6 where he clearly stated he was aware of the victim's age saying, “So I can now officially say comfortably I don’t feel any shame dating you when you’re underage.”
Mayes had also advised the victim that “if anyone asks, she is 17 years old,” according to the probable cause statement.
