Four trees will be added to the Wright City Cemetery landscape this fall thanks to funding received from the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative of Troy and Central Electric Power Cooperative of Jefferson City.
The Wright City Cemetery Society has been awarded a $500 grant from Central Electric through its Green Tree Partnership Program, Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is providing $500 in matching funds.
The four trees, three flowering and one evergreen tree, will be planted this fall by Hoette Farms and Nursery of New Florence. The grant funding will pay for the purchase of the trees and the memorial society will fund the planting.
These new trees will help diversify the stand of oak and maple trees currently found in the cemetery.
