The Wright City golf team competed at the Class 3, District 2 Tournament at Innsbrook Resort Golf Course.
Kye Schnarre led the team by shooting a 98 to place 51st overall. Dustyn Bailey followed in 62nd place with a 104 and William Bohannan was in 65th with a 110. Others who played for the Wildcats were Landon Visico (76th, 118) and Devin Myers (80th, 138).
Luke Glarner of Priority won the individual district title with a two-under 68. William Boyd of California and Garrett McIntosh of Father Tolton tied in second with an even-par 70. St. Charles West’s Hudson Shy was fourth with a two-over 72.
Priory won the district team crown with a 300. St. Charles West was second with a 314. Rounding out the top five were Father Tolton (321), Southern Boone (329) and California (330). Wright City finished 16th with a 430.
Warrenton places 12th in district tourney
The Warrenton boys golf team placed 12th out of 14 schools during the Class 4, District 2 Tournament held at the Golf Club of Wentzville.
Owen Thompson shot a team-best 84 to place 34th overall. Ethan Leavitt followed with an 85 to finish 39th. Other players for the Warriors were Gavin Thompson (54th, 90), Lucas Eskew (64th, 103) and Gavin Solari (66th, 106). As a team, they shot a 362.
Fort Zumwalt South won the team title with a 305, five strokes better than runner-up Ladue. Rounding out the top five were Clayton, John Burroughs and St. Dominic, who all shot a 315.
Zachary Mesplay of Zumwalt South won the individual title with a four-under 67. Ladue’s Grant Bautista was second with a one-under 70.
